FAQ
When should i book for a newborn session?
As soon as you know you are Pregnant ;) ..... okay that was bit too much to Ask hee hee, we ideally suggest Newborn session to be done between 5-25 days of Birth so once you are on your 32 Weeks of Pregnancy , you should tentatively book for a newborn session. We always are flexible with the date if the session is booked.
CAN I EXTEND THE SESSION ON THE DAY OF?
You Definitely can, however there would be an additional Charge for that which would be Mentioned to you in the Agreement.
HOW LONG MY NEWBORN SESSION WOULD LAST?
Between Soothing, Feeding & Preparing for shots our Newborn Sessions are quite uncertain about the timings. We are completely ok with that & completely understand if your bub needs a break & hence do not rush the session however approximate timings for each sessions are mentioned in our Package.
Can family be included in the photo shoot?
Absolutely! Including family members in the photos can create beautiful and meaningful memories. Discuss this with your photographer beforehand.
What is the duration of the session?
The session typically lasts around 1 to 2 hours.
How do I prepare my baby for a photography session?
Keep your baby well-fed and comfortable before the session. Dress them in loose-fitting clothes to avoid leaving marks on their skin.
What should I expect during a session?
Sessions can last a few hours and include a mix of posed shots, candid moments, and family portraits. Patience is key, as babies might need breaks for feeding and soothing.
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY NEWBORN SESSION?
I recommend booking early in your pregnancy, as I allocate a limited number of shoots per month. Doing this will also help you cross one more item off your newborn "to do" list.
DO YOU HAVE WRAPS AND PROPS?
Of course! The studio is brimming with exquisite newborn wraps, textured blankets, and elegant props for your session. Prior to your photo shoot, we'll have a consultation to talk about styling and your preferred color palette. My approach is classic, clean, and minimalist, guaranteeing timeless photographs.
ARE PARENTS & SIBLINGS INCLUDED?
Yes, everyone is included at no additional cost. I always encourage parents to be involved because these photos capture the most love and emotion. When we grow older and look back at our photographs, we naturally gravitate towards those featuring our parents and family. These are the classic, timeless images. As parents, we need to be present in our photos to create and preserve our family history.
HOW LONG DO WE HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THE IMAGES ARE READY?
Not long because images will be available to view immediately after your session! Whilst baby is being dressed and ready for the trip home, I will prepare your images to be viewed on the big screen where you can choose any that you would like to purchase.
WHERE ARE THE PHOTOGRAPHY SESSIONS HELD?
Sessions are held in my beautiful studio in Point cook, Melbourne where we have access to all the equipment required and the environment can be kept comfortable for everyone.
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO PHOTOGRAPHY MY BABY?
The best time to photograph your baby depends on the look you're going for:
Newborn (0-2 weeks): Capture their curled-up poses and delicate skin.
3-8 weeks: Ideal for a more alert baby with some head control.
12-16 weeks: Capture those first smiles and playful interactions.
