When Nitiksha first reached out to me, I was so touched to learn she would be traveling nearly 40 kilometers to reach the Awesome Possum Photography studio for her maternity photoshoot. As a photographer, there is no higher praise than a mama-to-be choosing you to capture her most precious moments despite the distance.
Nitiksha and her husband brought such a gentle, kind energy to the session, making every mile traveled feel like the start of a beautiful adventure.
The "Photographer’s Dream" Big Brother
Usually, I have a few tricks up my sleeve to get little ones to cooperate, but Nitiksha’s son didn't need any! He was officially the best big brother-to-be.
From following every instruction to the "T" to showing pure, unprompted excitement, he was the heart of the session. He wasn't just there for the photos; he was there to celebrate his new best friend.

A Tale of Two Styles: From Fiery Red to Timeless Black
1. The Radiant Outdoor Glow
Against the soft greens of the outdoors, Nitiksha wore a striking ruffled red gown. Red represents power and life, and as she stood on the path, she looked like the embodiment of strength and motherhood.
The family shots on the trail were some of my favorites. You can see the connection in the way they lean into each other, a family of three ready to become four.
2. The Studio "Queen"
Transitioning into the studio, we went for a more sophisticated, editorial vibe. In a sleek black gown and a shimmering crown, Nitiksha truly looked like royalty. We even included a pair of tiny blue shoes, a sweet nod to the little prince joining the family soon!
The studio session also allowed us to capture the quiet, tender bond between father and son. These are the moments that often go unnoticed but mean the most.
Why the Distance Matters
People often ask me if they should choose a photographer based on location. My answer? Choose the one who sees your family’s soul.
